Bautista-Barnes always loved the splendid look of natural materials like bone,
feather, metal, leather and stone. Growing up islander and looking
towards her Marianist heritage for inspiration, gave her much creativity and
room for growth. Her love for the bright macaw feathers with the neutral
tones of the bone and leather gave her the inspiration to create. All of
Tonya’s designs are 100% handmade by her and are inspired by the bright colors
and natural materials of the earth, air and sea. Using as many materials
originating from the US and donated or purchased feathers from bird sanctuaries
and private owners throughout the Marianas, Hawaiian Islands and the US. She

<span lang="EN" style="font-family: "calibri" , sans-serif; mso-ansi-language: EN; mso-bidi-font-family: Calibri;">An energetic vibe radiates throughout this
multi-generational exhibit of visual art, as engaging and diverse as the women
who created it. Spanning approximately a
half century, this eclectic, yet connected body of work is impressive as it
represents varied artistic styles and content.
Celia Baiada Malloy, the 97 year old family Matriarch is the main focus
of this exhibit. Celia's formative time was spent in the Philadelphia Metro
area, and her training of many years ago, is beautifully reflected in unique
and elegant acrylics. Daughters Lynne
Van Sciver, Taire Malloy, and Donna Malloy, share their mother's interest,
along with granddaughter, Cavan Guenther, and great granddaughters, Julia and
Scarlett Novak and Stella Guenther.
Their collective works both contrast and respond to the familial
influence. Lynne's abstract
expressionistic style, infused with balance and freedom, has been influenced by
training as a psychologist. Taire's charcoal life drawings display a subtle
organic style and exude a feeling of calm movement. She studied art at Arizona
State, and remains involved with the visual arts in the role of festival
director of Art Fest Naples. Donna Kay
echoes her mother and grandmother's love of birds which culminated in the publication
of Donna's children's book: "Criss Crow, Flying on Sunshine." Donna earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in
Interior Design from the International Academy of Design and Technology, Tampa. Cavan, Lynne's daughter, is a former science
teacher. She is an accomplished abstract artist and rustic-glam jewelry
designer. Her art is a mixture of earth, energy and vintage objects. This delightful exhibition tells the story of
connectedness found in art, that flows through generations, moving through
time, taking on an exquisite life of its own.</span></div>

fascination for brilliant color and abstract ideas. She has had the good
fortune of traveling the world and her mind has become a vast well of snapshots
and experiences that her subconscious draws upon to create her paintings. Diana
chooses the color that attracts her at the moment, and then continues to add
colors and watch how they flow, mix and move. The paintings begin to form
themselves, she then finds what is hidden, and begins to consciously bring it
out. Only when the work is completed does she find the true meaning of the
piece and what inspired it. With each completed piece, Diana looks forward to
revisiting the story it represents.</span><br />

– Katherine Boren</span></b><span style="font-size: 10.0pt; mso-bidi-font-weight: bold;">’s series of new works, entitled “Textures-Tones”,
continues and expands her exploration of multiple mediums evoking various
emotions, events, and places utilizing nonrepresentational
techniques. By focusing on using a predominantly monochromatic
palette and utilizing a combination of nontraditional and found materials in
unexpected ways, her new works emphasize the reflection of light, varying
textures and shapes, and differing grades of color saturation, while addressing
universal experiences, environments, and feelings in an intuitive
manner. She emphasizes the use of color, form, and texture to
evoke emotional and psychological reactions to her art. Boren states
that her most successful work utilizes a base hue and uses its shades, tones,
and tints to encourage further exploration by the viewer. Originally
from New York, Boren studied at New York University, and the New School; she
graduated with an emphasis in sculpture from the State University of New
York. Her work has been exhibited at numerous venues in solo, group,
juried, and member shows. More information can be found on her

<span style="background-color: black;"><span style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">“The things
that drive the human experience are based on instinct and emotion. Since the
beginning of mankind the ways in which we relate to one another, connect, and
evolve have consistently been revolving around those basic drives. And these
instincts lurk still, within the depths of the human subconscious.” States Danielle Branchaud</span><span style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;"><o:p></o:p></span></span></div>

<span style="background-color: black;"><span style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">It is this that prompts the inspiration for D.
Branchaud’s work. Combined with a survey of personal experience, her paintings
have created a window through the eyes of the subconscious, into a place that
illustrates those basest of instincts and emotions. The goal of works such as
the “Emotive” series is to illustrate the universality of emotion. It not only
serves as a reflection of the artist’s own experience, but also provides a
mirror for the audience to see within themselves.</span><span style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;"><o:p></o:p></span></span></div>

<span style="background-color: black;"><span style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Her work walks a tightrope between fantasy and
surrealism, into an honest realm of pure visceral emotion. The “Emotive” series
largely skimmed the surface. Her new work is intended to reach new depths,
delving into her personal world of dreamscapes. The nightmarish imagery used to
illuminate those unconscious thoughts serve as further exploration into the
things that make us human.</span><span style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;"><o:p></o:p></span></span></div>

has been painting with acrylics since 2003. She currently resides in Florida,
and is continuing her series work as well as various commissions and projects.
The intimacy that she employs with the “Emotive” and “Visceral” series’ is also

was born and raised in the Midwest, but made the move down to Southwest Florida
in 1998. In 2004, he went to study art in Savannah, Georgia where he graduated
from the Savannah College of Art and Design with a degree in
Illustration. After getting his B.F.A., he returned to Fort Myers and
began working in freelance illustration. His freelance work has included
children’s book illustration, logo design, poster design and comic strip
illustration. Although his gallery work draws upon his background in
illustration it branches out into several different styles and techniques, a
luxury not often afforded the free-lance illustrator. It is this artistic
freedom, which continues to inspire him to experiment and to enjoy the process
of making art. However, it may manifest itself. Joe is currently
living and working out of Cape Coral, FL. This is the 3rd
year; Joe has been the main gallery feature artist. His art is both
whimsical and playful yet he shows he is a master illustrator and
painter. <o:p></o:p></span></div>

<b><span style="font-size: 10.0pt;">Artist Statement</span></b><span style="font-size: 10.0pt;">: My practice grew out of my desire to "own
something" as an artist. In my earlier work, which included realism,
abstract and abstract expressionism, I was frustrated knowing where the
painting would end up. The rest of the process was just a matter of moving to
the inevitable conclusion. I wanted to find a way to stay open and be
continually surprised and engaged. I discovered my technique one day when the
corner of dry paint on my waxed paper disposable palette peeled up. When I
peeled it off I was amazed at what I found on the hidden side of the paint. It revealed
underlying gestural patterns previously hidden from the artist. It had a life
and spontaneity that I had never seen before…something that felt human but
freed of any doubt or hesitation. I found that I could paint on this clear
cellophane typically used for gift wrapping, and when I glued it to the canvas
the film would peel off, essentially creating printing plates. Having been a
commercial printer for many years made this approach second nature. I could lay
a piece of clear film on the wet paint and capture that image too. This ability
to use "both sides of the paint" gave me a freedom and expanded
palette that continues to excite me with possibilities everyday. The paint
vacillates between pure physical paint - Jackson Pollock like splashes and splatters
- to pure photographic Ansel Adams-like halftone effects that can only happen
chemically, to create these paintings. All the effects are created by how I
pour and pull the paint. I use a myriad of tools such as squeegees, metal
strips, cans of air, water and alcohol to affect the hidden side of the paint.
Initially I have limited myself to Black and White initially as I learn to
control the elements and possibilities. The plastic nature enables a certain
distancing from the preserved, disembodied mark, allowing me to contemplate and
build the painting without losing any of the initial energy. Much of the
process is just looking..like finding animals in the clouds and Jesus in the
toast, but ultimately taps into my unconscious narratives. I stop when the
result reaches a complexity that I could not have planned in advance but
somehow communicates something important to me. Having lived by the ocean in
Maine for 30 years, the ocean theme runs through many of my works. The painting
is a collaboration with the material properties of the acrylic paints, my tools
and unconscious. It requires me to be an editor in order to control each piece
even if I could not predict the effect of each piece of paint beforehand. Prior
to discovering this technique, I always knew where a piece would end up. Now I
must trust, push and cajole to end up with more of a poetic approximation.

consists of various types of prints and paintings. As an individual
schooled both in art and psychology, I find the two practices walk hand in
hand, especially in surrealism. How an individual's brain perceives art is
based on a series of processes in which the image is torn down to its basic
components, such as color and angles, for recognition of its individual parts
in a bottom-up approach, and a series processes that try to match the
overall experience to a previous experience in a top-down approach. This means
that when someone looks at a piece of art, they see not only what the artist
has created, but brought their own life experiences to flavor their perception
of the art. I create art with this concept in mind, trying to leave each piece
with an ambiguous sense, and allowing for further exploration by the
viewer to draw their own conclusion. I consider the viewers'
interpretation of the art as equally correct as my intentions in the
work. </span></div>

<div style="background-attachment: initial; background-clip: initial; background-image: initial; background-origin: initial; background-position: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-size: initial;">
<span style="background-color: black; font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;"><span style="color: white;">
I create both prints and paintings. My prints consist of linocuts,
woodcuts, and collographs, all printed with Akua ink. Some of the pieces are
printed on a press, allowing for a crisp, clean look, while others, the
woodcuts in particular, are printed by hand, allowing for the natural textures
of the paper and woodgrain to play a bigger part in the piece. My painting are
done with acrylic, and while I love the excitement of brush strokes and flowing
color, you'll notice this body of work is primarily made up of prints due to my
love of the zen-like marrying of technical work and spontaneity
printmaking.<o:p></o:p></span></span></div>

work she is using a more impressionistic or abstract approach with strong
colors in her palette. There will be
paintings from previous years showing her style of work prior to the vision

Japanese-American parents in 1947 in Honolulu, Hawaii. He graduated wit a BFA in Graphic Design from
Ohio University. Tom began his career in
the field of education and moved to Fort Myers to teach in the Lee County
School District. Tom’s original works
began in acrylic, his limited edition silk-screen pieces ranged from four to
twenty-one colors. His works soon
blossomed into 30” X 40” gallery wrapped canvases that tease the eye into
following the painting around its edges.
The subjects reflect his youth in Hawaii, Orchids, Koi and more. Tom’s choice of color and balance create
movement on his canvas. Paying close
attention to detail, he laboriously applies my layers of pigments that are
watered to create different tones and hues.
The process is very time-consuming, often taking two to three months per
original. Come see these stunning works
that focus on tropical subjects and Hawaii.<o:p></o:p></span></div>

Beth and Bill Everhart’s collaborative exhibition, titled <i>A
Small Vacation, </i>was originally presented at the Snug Harbor Cultural Center
in Staten Island, New York. At the time, they had been collecting found
snapshots for a number of years and were interested in using them in some way
in an art installation. The fact that it had been a bitterly cold winter that
year in New York may have drawn them to images of people enjoying themselves in
the sunshine and frolicking on the beach. At some point they realized
that they could select certain snapshots so that they linked together in an
unbroken horizon line of water. It became the impetus for the show and a way
for them to visually recreate a much needed small vacation of their own. <o:p></o:p></div>

painting, but work had kept him too busy. After spending an additional
ten years tattooing and recreating someone else's ideas, he felt the need to
express his own through painting full time.</span><span style="font-family: "Verdana","sans-serif"; font-size: 10pt;"><o:p></o:p></span></div>

<span style="font-size: 10pt;">Stephen Heymann is a new
resident of Fort Myers from Jacksonville, Florida. His inspiration is
derived from his varied personal experiences outdoors, from crewing sailboats
and working with the Florida Park Service to spending three months in the
wilderness and hiking 1,200 miles on the Pacific Crest Trail, Stephen
accumulated a large volume of visual references to portray. By studying
animals, plants and insects closely, he witnessed endless complexity in both
color and form. He believes there is vast intelligence and beauty in
nature and strives to convey that through his artwork. By combining
realism and abstraction in an ever-evolving process, each of his paintings will
typically influence the next. A small blotch of paint in a previous piece may
be the main theme in his next endeavor. This process of diving deeper and
deeper into his work somewhat resembles an abstract fractal. A never ending and
constantly evolving landscape that he and the viewer may explore. It is his
hope that his work will encourage people to look closer at their true
surroundings and find both inspiration and connectivity in the natural world.<o:p></o:p></span></div>

Martha Dodd resides in Fort Myers, Florida, and works in her art studio there.
She enjoys painting people, animals, and landscapes. While Martha often travels
to client's homes to paint unique murals, working hand in hand with interior
decorators, designers, and architects, her goal is to focus more and more on
portraits, and capturing life in a natural setting. Her original paintings are
created in oils, and occasionally acrylic. She prefers to work on large
canvases, and her subjects include horses, birds, people, and mermaids. This past summer she traveled to Europe for a
6 week long tour to study art in Rome, Florence, Vienna, Split, and Paris. Website, <a href="http://www.followyourartllc.com/" target="_blank">www.followyourartllc.com</a>.
When Martha isn't painting, she enjoys
horseback riding, and sailing with her best guy, Marc.<span style="font-family: "Calibri","sans-serif"; mso-ascii-theme-font: minor-latin; mso-hansi-theme-font: minor-latin;"><o:p></o:p></span><br />

Ellen Sayet has always loved sketching and painting but they
took a secondary position between two successful careers. The world of art has opened up as my primary
focus since being retired. Self taught
with an occasional drawing class, I enjoy painting realism with “an edge”. Ellen’s figurative paintings are classic
drawings with an inventive and creative side.
Most important to her is producing works of realism and figurative
portraiture in oil and pastel, and capturing the mood, personality and inner
soul of the subjects.</div>

surrealism, into an honest realm of pure visceral emotion. Her new work

Sandra Yeyati will display more than 40 of her works in the white
gallery. While several of Yeyati's pieces have been juried into local and
national competitions and displayed in Naples and Fort Myers galleries, as well
as the pages of Gulfshore Life magazine, this is her first major exhibit. All
images will be signed, first edition, archival prints of limited lots. In the
digital darkroom, Yeyati layers multiple photographs that she has taken of
people and textures into one composition, creating painterly images while
honoring the photographic elements. Art critic Donald Miller compared one of
her pieces to the expressionist paintings of Alexej von Jawlensky. Yeyati
says, “I am mesmerized by the fractal beauty of decay and deterioration as it
forms strange patterns in surprising colors and tones. Faces also fascinate me;
I look to them for answers to eternal questions about identity and the way our
surroundings influence our sense of self. Many of us hide inconceivable secrets
behind a simple smile. Every one of my compositions is a confession.”<o:p></o:p></span></span></div>

and transformed the land to our liking; we conquered the planet. But, now
what? Anthologies and other Echoes portrays all of humanity’s
achievements in science, arts, politics and all the fields of human thought as
seen from the future, looking back at this civilization that had it all,
conquered all, but didn’t know what to do with it and lose it all at the
end. We haven’t reached that point yet. This dramatic presentation is a
way to emphasize that we are still on time to curb our insatiable hunger, reduce
consumption and use all of our brilliance and ingenuity to reverse the damage
already done. There is no other planet ship like this. We repair the damage to
stay afloat; or we will surely drown. <o:p></o:p></span></span></span></div>

<b><span style="font-family: "Calibri","sans-serif"; mso-ascii-theme-font: minor-latin; mso-hansi-theme-font: minor-latin;">Dale Weber</span></b><span style="font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;"> - </span><span style="font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;">Searching
for the significant hidden within the insignificant, the art of Dale Weber
reveals an inner beauty of the mundane. His art is a metaphoric
vehicle for the overlooked, abandoned, and forgotten elements within today's
society. It urges a reassessment of values in a disposable world. Emerging as a young painter in the early
1970’s, Dale Weber was invariably drawn to subjects that bore the passage of
time with a quiet dignity. In his continued quest to find the essence of age,
he required a different form of expression. Eight years ago, he turned to ‘<i>objet trouve’;</i> the art of found objects.
His 2D assemblages and 3D constructions offer a new perspective. The subject
has become the medium. Dale Weber <a href="https://www.blogger.com/null" name="_GoBack"></a>only uses discarded materials are no longer able to serve
their original purpose. For this reason, he prefers the term reinvented rather
than recycled. He uses items in an ‘as found’ condition defining the natural
beauty of lives well-lived. By careful selection and placement, these objects
enter into dialogues expressing the artist’s views that range from social
commentary to the philosophical.</span><br />
